Listing guidelines
Draft — pending legal review. This document was prepared during development and has not yet been reviewed by a qualified lawyer. It must not be relied on until it has, and no provider data should be collected against it in production.
Every listing is reviewed before it is published. This review is an administrative check for completeness, clarity and correct categorisation. It is not a verification of your identity, qualifications or work, and publication is not an endorsement by Hepplo.
Who can list
You may create a listing if you:
- Offer a legitimate service.
- Operate in the location you state.
- Give accurate contact information you control.
- Agree to our Terms of Use and Privacy Notice.
- Comply with all applicable Nigerian law.
What every listing must include
- Your full name, and business name if you trade under one.
- A main service category.
- A description of the work you do — at least a couple of sentences.
- The area you are based in.
- A working phone number, verified by code.
Standards
To be approved, a listing must be complete and easy to understand, use accurate information, clearly describe the services offered, sit in the correct category, avoid misleading or exaggerated claims, and use appropriate language and images.
What is not allowed
- False or borrowed contact information.
- Impersonating another person or business.
- Illegal or prohibited services.
- Offensive, discriminatory or abusive content.
- Misrepresenting qualifications or certifications.
- Using copyrighted content without permission.
- Duplicate listings for the same provider.
Keeping your listing current
You are responsible for keeping your details accurate. We will ask you to confirm your listing is current from time to time. A listing that goes 180 days without confirmation is hidden from search results until you confirm it — it is not deleted, and you can bring it back at any time from the manage page.
Removal and suspension
We may suspend or remove listings that contain false information, break these guidelines, attract credible reports of fraud, promote illegal services, or abuse the platform. Where it is appropriate we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
The Hepplo Marketplace
Providers who want verification, structured bookings and escrow-protected payment can apply to the Hepplo Marketplace separately. Marketplace admission involves its own verification process and is independent of Nearby listing approval.
